Well, the time has come to bring some bad news. We're not raiding 25 mans anymore.
Why? As far as the guild is concerned ----------------------------------- We started New Breed with the attitude that whoever we bring to the raid won't waste the other 24 members time. With those standards and raiding attitude, we went through some great progress. Exactly 30 days after our first Gruul run, we cleared all Tier 5 content. We downed Vashj on our first night of attempts on her, and got Kael'thas after 2 weeks in TK. From there, we did two one-night clears of both of those instances, then graduated to Tier 6. Our first week in Hyjal, we cleared 4/5 bosses. The following week we went into Black Temple, and cleared 5/9. Somewhere inbetween we found time to also get the server first Bear mount from Zul'Aman. That was two months ago. Since then we have gotten one (well, two) bear mounts, and made no new progress. After going back into tier 5 to prepare new recruits for tier 6, I've been very disappointed. Not even being able to get the classes online to attempt Kael/Vashj, let alone kill all the other bosses in SSC. That was, of course, assuming we even got enough on to raid at all. We've been recruiting based on the merit of our past victories, and I won't do it any longer. Telling members we're "4/5 Hyjal, 5/9 BT and (we were) the fastest progressing guild on the server" doesn't seem right when we wiped 3 times on SSC trash. I certainly don't have the patience to raid in this type of enviroment any longer, nor any other for that matter. After consulting the other officers about me stepping down, they also were not prepared to take on the burden of repairing this floundering guild. So what do we do? We're just going to stop doing 25 mans. I encourage any members who still want to raid 25 mans to find a new guild. There are several other guilds doing 25 man content and still recruiting, though I reccomend Backlash or Defiance for those wishing to raid here. For anyone who wishes to stay, we'll continue to do ZA and Kara so long as we have the members to do so. The hearts of darkness in the guild bank will be split up as evenly as possible to the members that helped us gather them (I myself will be taking zero, as I don't plan on raiding anymore anyway). We will be sending in game mails to those we believe deserve a share, asking if you plan on applying to a T6 guild where you could use them to make your SR gear. I'm sorry it came to this guys, but sometimes this is just the way these things go. As far as I am concerned -------------------------- I've seen this game slowly take away everything I enjoyed about it over the years. Initially it was the death of world PvP when they introduced battlegrounds. Then they started nerfing the pre-raid dungeons leading up to Molten Core. The game was becoming easier and easier with every patch, and the game be split into different sub-genres of its own. The game used to reward time played with rewards to your overall character development. Now time spent in one genre of the game (PvE, PvP, Economy) rewards you only in those areas. While this is all well and good for some people, it frustrates me to no end. I'm also sick of this server. Not the members we have here, or any of the friends I met, but just this server as a whole. I thought an RP server would be a place with lots of world (pvp) events happening, but I was wrong. Reverting back to simply raiding in the game, this server has done nothing but frustrate me. I will never play on an RP server in an MMO ever again if I have a choice. Not because of the RPers, but because the population for endgame is stretched way too thin. I'll be playing WoW, on BWR, until Warhammer online comes out. A bunch of my old guildmates from the WoW launch are getting back together for WAR, and I invite any New Breed members to come join us if they plan on dropping this game.

So after our meeting tonight, we did some damage control and got an estimate for what needs to be done. It doesn't look like too much, though recruitment of dedicated members is our most daunting task. The "Currently Recruiting" menu is updated, and our hold on taking in new members is now over.
In addition, we will run Tempest Keep and Serpent Shrine Cavern for two weeks while we resync our raid group with new recruits. Afterwards we will head back into our normal Tier 6 raid schedule. The officer positions I have come up with are the following: -Loot officer -Recruiting/Rank officer -Raid Leader -Human Resources I'll be contacting some of the volunteers this week about officer placement. I will continue to lead raids, but I want to have a dedicated officer set to the position to ensure a smooth run in case something happens and I cannot make it. The Loot officer and rank/recruiting officer are both pretty self explanatory. If you have any questions, just ask. The Human Resources officer will be the "day to day" helper in case I'm not online. This person will answer questions from both guild members and unguilded players. They also will be in charge of distributing guild bank mats relevent to raids. Also please check the T5 and T6 loot list to see if your position is accurate.

I'm not sure how many people knew this happened today, but having just found out myself I have to say I'm very surprised. Neonak, Mightybauer, and Herzeloyde transferred off the server without any warning to me. They had been telling me all week that there were some problems that needed to be addressed, which I was going to bring up in the format of "Open Forum" on vent today before the raid. I invite any members to make a post on the forums with any concerns they may have with the guild, rather than keeping it to themselves, so that they may be addressed.
The two main problems I have seen are reliability of raid attendence, and our inability to attract the right number of recruits at the gear level that we are asking them to be at. We are now missing almost all of our officers, and half of our hearts of darkness on top of that. What are our possible solutions? I, as well as several members I talked to today, want this guild to stay together. Whether that will resound throughout the whole guild or not, I'm sure we'll find out in the next few days. Solution 1: We transfer to another server, as a guild, to a place with a larger recruitment pool. Neonak had told me that he asked 27 guild members about this, and 25 agreed. I'm hearing otherwise firsthand from other guildmates. I'm thinking this will probably just split us up as other guilds pick up our members as we try to recruit. Solution 2: Probably the plan that would work the best with our current population. We have no problem getting applications. The problem we are having is getting people with enough gear to compete in BT and Hyjal. The fix? We go back to Tier 5 and recruit T4 (or badge equivelent) and run those dungeons into the ground to gear up new recruits. I'm open to other suggestions as well. Please let me know (via forums, or in game mail) what your plans are. If you are planning on transferring off to join another guild, I have no problem with that. It's your money and you have to do whatever it is you do to have fun in this game. Just do me a favor and let me know you're doing it beforehand so I can plan on filling your spot. |

For anyone who's taken a look at the raid calender ( http://newbreed.dkpsystem.com/bigcalendar.php ) you'll see that we're shooting to move into Tier 6 full time this month. accomplished! For this to happen, we have to clear BOTH SSC and TK each week for the next two weeks. accomplished! This shouldn't be an issue, we'll just have to really nail the Kael'thas fight, which will be our only bottleneck.accomplished!
Also, I need everyone to get attuned for Black Temple for their neckpieces. If you have started, this must be your main priority in game. The full attunement process can be found here: http://www.wowwiki.com/Black_Temple_Attunement By the end of the month I fully expect us to be at least 3/5 Hyjal and 3/9 Black Temple. accomplished!I'll put up posts of videos and strategies for all of these zone's bosses. I expect everyone to of read up on these fights, watch the videos, and come prepared. Thanks to everyone who has helped us come this far, and will continue to drive us deeper into new content. | Monday, April 28, 2008 : New Breed is recruiting dedicated raid members | |
|
New Breed is a guild who's sole focus is to see new content. Right now, our real focus is Tier 6 content and in addition, we have dedicated ourselves to being the first guild on the server to aquire all 4 timed loot chests from ZA accomplished!.
To be considered for a position in this guild you must Any drama will be delt with by an officer swiftly. You must have a reliable connection, and enough frames per second to react to raid encounters. The guild is to remain small, with 40-50 members being our maximum limit. Applicants must have experienced most of T4 and T5 content. We are looking to finish Hyjal and BT before moving to SunWell Plateau. Karazhan / Zul'Aman and T5 content will still be run but only for farming purposes and on off-raid nights. In your application please post all previous raid experience. How comfortable you are creating macros, how many "keybinds" you have, and what you are looking for in a guild. If you're currently in a guild, please explain why you are looking to leave.
